Carina Dior

Teacher

Carina Dior is currently training at The Ailey School in New York City as a student in the Professional Division Certificate Program. Originally from New Jersey, she has built a strong and versatile foundation in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and modern dance through training at renowned programs including The Juilliard School, Arts Umbrella, and The Dance Artist Prep School, where she has trained under the mentorship of Preston Miller and Jacqueline Green. She will continue her training this year at Orsolina28 and Henny Jurriëns Studio. Carina was also honored as Dancer of the Year at Artistic Dance Exchange.


Carina’s performance highlights include performing Alvin Ailey’s Memoria at New York City Center alongside members of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, as well as performing Luke Biddinger’s I Love to Love at The Joyce Theater as part of the Young Choreographers Festival. She also performed work by Pedro Ruiz in the Professional Division Spring Concert at the Ailey Citigroup Theater. She has performed works by acclaimed choreographers including Jaryd Farcon, Denys Drozdyuk, Antonina Skobina, and Preston Miller, and has also had the opportunity to work with distinguished artists including Rena Butler, Daniel Ulbricht, and Gianna Martello.


Carina is thrilled to be part of the DNA Dance Academy team and is passionate about sharing her love of dance with the next generation.
